Attending International Conferences
Our group members have been invited to attend many international academy conferences, and given invited speech over 40 times since 2005. In Dec. 2010, Prof. Sun co-chaired with Prof. Koji Tanaka (Japan) and Prof. James Murkerman (American) in “Coordination Chemistry toward Artificial Photosynthesis and Energy Conversion Processes”, the branch of "Pacifichem 2010", in Hawaii, USA. Besides, he has given 2 invited speeches seperatedly on solar cell and photo-driven water oxidation. Prof. Mei Wang also delievered 2 invited speeches on hydrogenase simulation and photo-induced hydrogen production in the conference. In Jan. 2011,Prof. Wang took part in the Gordon Research Conference in Los Angeles, and make an invited speech which introduced the development of molecular solar energy conversion in the DUT-KTH Molecular Device Joint Research Centre. On 11th-18th, Sep. 2011, Prof. Sun, Prof. Wang, Prof. Xichuan Yang, and Prof. Fei Li were seperatedly invited in the Conference of Bioinspired Materials for Solar Energy Utilization, and made invited speech.

Joint Training
The coopertion with the KTH- Uppsala University Molecular Device Centre has been started since 2006. Through mutual coopertion, many researchers from both sides are sent to academic exchange. There are 12 students were sent to Sweden as post-doctor or doctor from 2006 to 2013. And 4 post-doctors/ doctor were sent to do research work in DUT, a period of 1-6 months. In Sep. 2012, Prof. Krister Zetterberg from KTH was invited by Prof. Sun to give an organic chemistry course in chemical engineering and technology for the international class of DUT. A kind of simple structured water oxidation catalysts has been designed through our cooperation. Moreover, the efficiency of these catalysts has reached over 300/s, two orders of magnitude higher than the results reported by other countries. These related achievements have been published in Nature Chem. (2012, 4, 418-423), PNAS (2012, 109, 15584-15588), etc. Then a considerable attention has been attracted to these research achievements by the world peers. This part of research work has completed by Lele Duan, a PhD student co-cultured by both sides.

"The study of photocatalytic water splitting based on phospholipid membrane" is a project our group cooperated with Prof. König's research group in University of Regensburg. This project is one of the international cooperation and communication project, which is supported by natural scientific foundation of China in 2013. PhD students from University of Regensburg, Malte Hansen and Stefan Troppmann have come to DUT for 3 months academic exchanging from Aug. to Nov. in 2013. And one year later, Biaobiao Zhang and Fengshou Yu were sent to University of Regensburg as PhD exchanging students from DUT.

The cooperation with Metallochemistry and Biology Lab in Joseph Fourier University is favored to develop the research in the area of "An efficient visible-light-driven hydrogen system constructed by the combination of new types of cobalt and nickle catalysts, organic photosensitizer, and iridium photosensitizer". The mutual cooperative sides have sent a lot of researchers for academic exchange. Their cooperative achievments published in Inorg. Chem. (2012, 51, 2115-2120).

Through the cooperation with Western Brittany University, we performed a study of non-noble metal complexes catalytic the electrolysis performance of water splitting. During the period of Sep. to Dec. in 2012, PhD student Peili Zhang from DUT, was sent to Prof. F. Gloaguen's research group in Western Brittany University for academic exchange. The research work during this period were published in Energy Environ. Sci.(2014, 7, 329-334), Chem. Commun. (2013, 49(82), 9455-9457), Inorg. Chem.(2013, 52, 1798-1806), Chem. Eur. J. (2012, 18, 13968 – 13973).
